Već znamo da oko 30% Amerikanaca obolijeva od bezalkoholne bolesti masne jetre (NAFLD), koja je danas postala glavna epidemija u Sjedinjenim Državama. Nažalost, ne samo da ova bolest opterećuje zdravstveni sustav s oko 32 milijarde dolara godišnje, već je tu i dodatna opasnost: imate li masnu jetru, to znači da biste mogli imati i veći rizik od hospitalizacije s korona-virusom.

Nova studija[1], koju su obavili Perspectum i britanski BioBank, otkrila je da je masna jetra glavni faktor rizika hospitalizacije s COVID-19. Za 30% Amerikanaca koji imaju masnu jetru – mnogi toga nisu ni svjesni – to je zaista zabrinjavajuće.

 

Visoka razina jetrene masti povezana s većim rizikom hospitalizacije zbog korona-virusa

Prema ovoj zajedničkoj studiji, ljudi koji su imali više od 10 posto masti u jetri imali su dvostruku vjerojatnost hospitalizacije s korona-virusom, u odnosu na one sa zdravijom razinom masti u jetri. Studija je obuhvatila preko 42,000 jetrenih pretraga volontera u britanskoj Bio-banci, kao i 397 pacijenata koji su hospitalizirani s korona-virusom.

Istraživači su otkrili da pretilost sama po sebi ne povećava rizik od komplikacija povezanih s COVID-om, ali masna jetra povećava taj rizik. Sve dok su osobe s prekomjernom težinom ili pretile osobe imale jetrenu masnoću u zdravom rasponu, nisu imale dodatni rizik od razvoja komplikacija zbog korona-virusa.

S druge strane, pojedinci koji su bili pretili uz masnu jetru, imali su dva i pol puta veću vjerojatnost da će završiti u bolnici zbog zaraze korona-virusom.Već smo prije znali da NAFLD može napredovati do ozbiljnih zdravstvenih teškoća, ali ova nova studija pokazuje zdravstvene rizike koje izaziva masna jetra, čak i prije nego što napreduje do komplikacija poput jetrenih ožiljaka i upala.

Spriječimo ‘tihu’ bolest masne jetre!

Ključni autor ovog novog istraživanja, dr. Matt Kelley – koji je glavni voditelj za inovacije u Perspectumu – napomenuo je da je masna jetra ‘tiha’ bolest; kad bismo bili bolje informirani o tome tko je ima, zdravstveni radnici mogli bi pomnije pratiti ove bolesnike. To je još jedan od pokazatelja da je za medicinsku struku od ključne važnosti da obavi bolje svoj posao, kroz probir pacijenata za ovu vrstu jetrene bolesti[2]. No, kako su prehrana i način života ključni faktori rizika za razvoj masne jetre, moguće je spriječiti tu tihu bolest, smanjujući ujedno i rizik od komplikacija uslijed infekcije korona-virusom. Eliminacija rafiniranih ugljikohidrata (jednostavnih, prerađenih šećera), toksičnih (konvencionalno proizvedenih)[3] masti i alkohola iz prehrane, može Vam u tome pomoći. Naravno, da bismo sačuvali jetru od oštećenosti važno je da izbjegavamo i hranu u kojoj ima pesticida, kao i GMO-hranu[4].

Za zdravlje jetre svakako će pomoći i uporaba iscjeljujućih detoks-namirnica – naravno, uz već spomenutu eliminaciju određenih namirnica koje razaraju zdravlje (te su namirnice poznate po znakovitu imenu hrana-smeće). Primjerice, pokušajte jesti više kupusnjača (povrće obitelji Brassicaceae s mnogim rodovima, vrstama i kultivarima) – poput kelja, kupusa, brokule, cvjetače, raštike, prokulica….. Osim toga, ne zaboravite odabrati hranu bogatu željezom poput korijandra, rukole i peršina.

Što se tiče suplementacije, pokazalo se da plod sikavice smanjuje upalne markere povezane s masnom jetrom i može čak pomoći pri obnovi jetrenih stanica. Zdrav život i detoksikacija jetre je neophodan da bi se naš organizma mogao boriti protiv bilo koje bolesti:

1. Drink a sufficient amount of non-carbonated clean water on a daily basis, preporučujemo da pijete provjerenu izvorsku vodu ili kupovnu negaziranu vodu koja je manje zlo nego ona iz pipe ili da si nabavite filter obrnute osmoze.Uz čistu vodu možete piti i svježe cijeđeni sok ili biljni čaj(kamilica ili menta ili đumbir,ukoliko ste dehidrirani i imate žuti urin,suhu kožu(može se i isušiti tokom tuširanje zbog klora,nabavite filter od aktiviranog ugljena i montirajte ga na tuš) ,suhe oči,tvrdu veliku nuždu izbjegavajte u potpunosti čajeve koju su diuretični kopriva,maslačak,medvjetka,zeleni čaj… Da bi dobili točan izračun koliko trebate popiti tekučine vašu tjelesnu težinu podjelite sa trideset(kg tjelesne mase : 30  i that's the minimum) For example, if you are 60 kg :30= 2L. So, you should drink 2 liters of water throughout the day.

If you have a small urination at night and it deprives you of normal sleep, drink the last water until 18, 17 or even 4: 00.

2.Exercise at least 3x a week (sweat during training)
Do strength exercises, cardio (aerobic)training and stretching exercises.

3. Breakfast in the morning: a variety of seasonal, preferably organic fruits, seeds (sunflower (not fried or salty) or flax (not ground) or whole sesame or chia or pumpkin seeds...) and a handful of nuts (almonds or walnuts or hazelnuts or cashews) or peanuts tried to find in the shell), 5-8 tablespoons of peeled oats or barley that has been left overnight in a cup of water. In the morning, strain and rinse well and then mix with the other ingredients. Cereals are not cooked! You can season the fruit salad with a spoonful of honey, agave syrup or almond spread or the like and, if desired, a little ground cinnamon.

5 hours after breakfast lunch: a variety of seasonal organic raw vegetables with sunflower seeds (not fried or salty) or flax (not ground) or whole sesame or chia or pumpkin seeds...) and a handful of nuts (almonds or walnuts or hazelnuts or cashews or try to find peanuts in the shell), cooked legumes (beans or lentils or chickpeas or peas or beans or broad beans ...) and cereals (wheat or hulled oats or barley or rye or buckwheat or millet ...). The salad can be seasoned with cold-pressed olive oil with raw garlic, onion, avocado and spices (rosemary, basil, hot pepper, thyme, oregano...). For dessert, eat a healthy combination of nuts or seeds with honey.

5 hours after lunch dinner: only fruit with a handful of nuts (almonds or walnuts or hazelnuts) or if you feel a lack of energy, dinner should be the same as breakfast.

Mandatory : during meals do not drink any liquid only after 1-2h

4. Take enough and timely rest (no later than 9:00 p.m. in winter or 10:00 p.m. in summer) and in complete darkness.
If the room you sleep in is not completely dark, get a sleeping bag.

5. To be exposed to sunlight for 1 hour a day because of vitamin D.
