\nHow can this continue?<\/span><\/span> Chewing gum that poisons the population<\/span><\/span> One of the most dangerous substances in addictive chewing gum is aspartame.<\/span><\/span> This sweet poison is better known as Equal and NutraSweet.<\/span><\/span> Before you buy chewing gum - read the label.<\/span><\/span> Aspartame consists of three harmful ingredients:<\/span><\/span>
\n1. Aspartic acid \u2013 which is an excitotoxin that causes cell damage and death as it crosses the blood-brain barrier.<\/span><\/span>
\n2. Phenylalanine \u2013 when combined with carbohydrates, aspartame causes excessive amounts of phenylalanine in the brain, which reduces serotonin levels leading to mental instability, such as depression, anxiety and schizophrenia.<\/span><\/span>
\n3. Methanol \u2013 breaks down into formic acid and formaldehyde when it reaches 86 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/span><\/span> Since the body is normally set at 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, this chemical embalms all living tissue when it reaches 86 degrees.<\/span><\/span> An unnecessary cancer-causing gum preservative may do more harm than good.
\n<\/span><\/span> Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) are two common food additives.<\/span><\/span> Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) is a preservative that slows rancidity in certain types of food - usually fats, oils and foods containing oil.<\/span><\/span> According to a nonprofit health advocacy organization called the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), BHT is an unnecessary additive that can easily be replaced with safer substitutes.
\n<\/span><\/span> Replacing BHT with vitamin E or packing food (rubber) under nitrogen instead of air are alternatives that do not cause harm.<\/span><\/span> CSPI also states that this synthetic chemical can simply be omitted.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Liver toxicity caused by a bleaching agent used in chewing gum<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Used as a food coloring or bleaching agent, titanium dioxide has been shown in recent studies to cause a host of physical ailments.<\/span><\/span> The Journal of Toxicological Sciences reports that this chemical induces an inflammatory response, hepatocyte apoptosis, and liver dysfunction.<\/span><\/span> The study revealed changes in the expression of 785 genes associated with:<\/span><\/span> andwith a munic and inflammatory response,<\/span><\/span> Andpoptosis,<\/span><\/span> onoxidative stress,<\/span><\/span> mmetabolic process,<\/span><\/span> onin terms of stress,<\/span><\/span> cell cycle,<\/span><\/span> pion transport,<\/span><\/span> pcell proliferation and<\/span><\/span> dcell differentiation.
\n<\/span><\/span> In fact, long-term exposure to titanium dioxide results in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.<\/span><\/span> A study published in the journal "Neurotoxicology"
\nthis confirms and also states that human health hazards are associated with cellular uptake and internalization as well as accumulation within brain cells.<\/span><\/span> Titanium dioxide has the potential to \u201ccause cerebral damage and neurodegenerative disease\u201d.<\/span><\/span> Conclusion?<\/span><\/span> Don't waste your money: chewing gum really is a "silent" killer.<\/span><\/span> Aspartame, BHT and titanium dioxide are just some of the dangerous ingredients in chewing gum.<\/span><\/span> There are many more harmful chemicals.<\/span><\/span> So if you must chew gum, make sure it's organic and non-GMO verified free of all harmful ingredients.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
