It is a bacterial infection of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, which causes redness, swelling, pain and tenderness. Part of the skin and subcutaneous tissue becomes infected in contact with bacteria that entered through a small, probably imperceptible, wound. The infection causes redness, pain and swelling, and most often attacks the legs. When it appears on the head, it represents non-localized inflammation without suppuration. Symptoms appear gradually over several hours. Older people are especially at risk of cellulitis, as most of them have poor circulation that leads to edema and leg ulcers. This increases the risk of infection. The most common causes of cellulitis are beta hemolytic streptococcus and staphylococcus aureus. A much milder clinical picture is given by infection with Staphylococcus aureus. The reason for this is that the streptococcus secretes substances that lead to the breakdown of cellular parts that participate in preventing the spread of inflammation. Because of this, the inflammation is much greater, the associated lymph nodes become enlarged. If the bacteria get into the blood, there is an increase in body temperature, chills and shivering. In people who have extremely reduced immunity, the body temperature does not have to be elevated. Others who can easily get cellulitis include drug addicts and diabetics. Marked cellulitis can cause sepsis - a dangerous blood infection. Cellulitis can occur if you have constant problems with circulation or the immune system. In addition to these two most common causes, in elderly people and chronic patients, the cause can also be Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and in children Haemophilus influenzae. After a deeper cat scratch or bite, an infection can occur because Pasteurella multocida very often causes cellulitis.

How to alleviate mild ailments?

If the leg is infected, it should be kept elevated to reduce swelling. Medicinal herbs are applied to the skin to remove impurities. They are used internally to expel excess fluid and purify the blood. Dandelion can be used, which improves liver function and prevents internal poisoning. Make a stronger tea from the fresh juice of the leaves and roots.

– A stronger tea made from white birch leaves and/or buds also removes skin impurities.
– Tea for the Liver (More information HERE ) with tincture Detox (You can find out more information HERE), is one of the best preparations for purifying the blood and body.
