We already know that about 30% Americans suffer from non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which has become a major epidemic in the United States today. Unfortunately, not only does this disease burden the health care system with about 32 billion dollars a year, but there is also an additional danger: if you have a fatty liver, it means that you could have a higher risk of being hospitalized with the corona virus.
A new study[1], conducted by Perspective and British BioBank, found that fatty liver is a major risk factor for hospitalization with COVID-19. For the 30% Americans who have fatty liver – many of whom are unaware of it – this is truly concerning.
High levels of liver fat associated with a higher risk of hospitalization due to the coronavirus
According to this collaborative study, people who had more than 10 percent liver fat were twice as likely to be hospitalized with the coronavirus, compared to those with healthier levels of liver fat. The study included over 42,000 liver tests of volunteers in the British Bio-bank, as well as 397 patients who were hospitalized with the corona virus.
The researchers found that obesity alone did not increase the risk of complications related to COVID, but fatty liver increased the risk. As long as overweight or obese people had liver fat in the healthy range, they had no additional risk of developing complications from the coronavirus.
On the other hand, individuals who were obese with fatty liver were two and a half times more likely to end up in the hospital due to infection with the corona virus. We already knew that NAFLD can progress to serious health problems, but this new study shows health risks caused by fatty liver, even before it progresses to complications such as liver scarring and inflammation.
Let's prevent 'silent' fatty liver disease!
The key author of this new research, Dr. Matt Kelley – who is the Chief Innovation Officer at Perspectum – he noted that fatty liver is a 'silent' disease; if we were better informed about who has it, healthcare workers could monitor these patients more closely. This is another indicator that it is crucial for the medical profession to do its job better, through the screening of patients for this type of liver disease[2]. However, since diet and lifestyle are key risk factors for the development of fatty liver, it is possible to prevent this silent disease, reducing at the same time the risk of complications due to infection with the corona virus. Eliminating refined carbohydrates (simple, processed sugars), toxic (conventionally produced)[3] fats and alcohol from your diet can help you with this. Of course, in order to protect the liver from damage, it is important to avoid food that contains pesticides, as well as GMO food[4].
The use of healing detox foods will certainly help the health of the liver - of course, along with the already mentioned elimination of certain foods that destroy health (these foods are known by the significant name junk food). For example, try to eat more cabbage (vegetables of the family Brassicaceae with many genera, species and cultivars) – such as kale, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, brussels sprouts… In addition, do not forget to choose foods rich in iron such as coriander, rocket and parsley.
As for supplementation, it turns out that sycamore fruit it reduces inflammatory markers associated with fatty liver and may even help regenerate liver cells. If you are dealing with a serious liver health problem, seek the advice of an experienced naturopathic doctor who takes a holistic approach to the problem. But don't hesitate, because without a healthy liver there is no healthy life!

A healthy life and detoxification of the liver is necessary for our body to be able to fight against any disease:
1. Drink a sufficient amount of non-carbonated clean water on a daily basis, we recommend that you drink verified spring water or purchased still water, which is less evil than that from the tap, or that you get a reverse osmosis filter. In addition to clean water, you can also drink freshly squeezed juice or herbal tea (chamomile or mint or ginger, if you are dehydrated and you have yellow urine, dry skin (it can also dry out during the shower due to chlorine, get an activated carbon filter and mount it on the shower), dry eyes, hard bowel movements, completely avoid teas that are diuretic nettle, dandelion, bearberry, green tea... To get an accurate calculation of how much fluid you need to drink, divide your body weight by thirty (kg of body weight: 30 and that's the minimum) For example, if you are 60 kg :30= 2L. So, you should drink 2 liters of water throughout the day.
If you have a small urination at night and it deprives you of normal sleep, drink the last water until 18, 17 or even 4: 00.
2.Exercise at least 3x a week (sweat during training)
Do strength exercises, cardio (aerobic)training and stretching exercises.
3. Breakfast in the morning: a variety of seasonal, preferably organic fruits, seeds (sunflower (not fried or salty) or flax (not ground) or whole sesame or chia or pumpkin seeds...) and a handful of nuts (almonds or walnuts or hazelnuts or cashews) or peanuts tried to find in the shell), 5-8 tablespoons of peeled oats or barley that has been left overnight in a cup of water. In the morning, strain and rinse well and then mix with the other ingredients. Cereals are not cooked! You can season the fruit salad with a spoonful of honey, agave syrup or almond spread or the like and, if desired, a little ground cinnamon.
5 hours after breakfast lunch: a variety of seasonal organic raw vegetables with sunflower seeds (not fried or salty) or flax (not ground) or whole sesame or chia or pumpkin seeds...) and a handful of nuts (almonds or walnuts or hazelnuts or cashews or try to find peanuts in the shell), cooked legumes (beans or lentils or chickpeas or peas or beans or broad beans ...) and cereals (wheat or hulled oats or barley or rye or buckwheat or millet ...). The salad can be seasoned with cold-pressed olive oil with raw garlic, onion, avocado and spices (rosemary, basil, hot pepper, thyme, oregano...). For dessert, eat a healthy combination of nuts or seeds with honey.
5 hours after lunch dinner: only fruit with a handful of nuts (almonds or walnuts or hazelnuts) or if you feel a lack of energy, dinner should be the same as breakfast.
Mandatory : during meals do not drink any liquid only after 1-2h
4. Take enough and timely rest (no later than 9:00 p.m. in winter or 10:00 p.m. in summer) and in complete darkness.
If the room you sleep in is not completely dark, get a sleeping bag.
The link can be obtained in DM. If you have trouble sleeping, have one of your family members massage you before going to bed and increase the amount of physical activity during the day.
5. To be exposed to sunlight for 1 hour a day because of vitamin D.
6. To be in the fresh air every day.
7. Avoidance of all toxins (coffee, green tea, black tea, cigarettes, drugs, chemicals, alcohol, refined sweets...) If you get a headache when you stop drinking coffee, you should increase your fluid intake by 0.5L or even 1L + of course your the minimum you need to drink every day (see item no. 1) and the headaches disappear very quickly. If it is difficult for you to give up coffee, drink grain coffee Divko and similar.

Do not put anything on the skin that is not edible(creams, makeup, lipsticks, deodorants, antiperspirants, etc.) and maintain personal hygiene with natural soap.
9. Find a job that fulfills you and makes you happy and try to improve interpersonal relationships (forgive all people who have offended you or harmed you)
10. Daily surrender your life into God's hands through prayer in the solitude of your room
and not to worry about things that you have no influence on (If you are a believer. If you are not, start because it is for your health) We suggest that you take a look at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYc_RVnjVDg&list=PLgCvyJI_bD3lzs9cDa1eBe8DiIk2KOQy5
